What is "Ethical Oursourcing"? At G7 we are all about bringing socio-economic benefit to rural Kenya.100% of our profits are re-invested into bringing benefit to rural areas.80% of Kenyans live in the rural areas, yet even NGOs, whose organizational goals are predominantly to assist those in rural areas, spend the bulk of their budgets with firms operating in Nairobi, thus unintentionally providing disproportional benefits to the metropolises.Through very recent improvments in communications technology, in particularly the fibre optic network, 3G, and WiMAX networks, G7 now offers the ICT services NGOs and Government requires, at rates equal or better than those available in Nairobi, but from our rural location. We can now begin to restore the balance by using technology to create virtual business clusters, instead of the old fashioned physical clusters that we are most familiar with.

Most key decision makers in NGOs and Government are in fact Kenyan, and many, if not all, came from rural locations, not Nairobi. The key challenge for our NGO and Government leadership has been that they were unable to find the same quality and cost of services from rural locations. Through communications technology, this equation has now changed. In addition, the Rockefeller Foundation has committed to subsidise NGOs and Government departments who choose BPO solutions, to ensure that decisions make both economic and social sense. We can work together to restore the rural / metropolis balance that Kenya so desparately needs.
